As we wind down from a busy day, this has been a day of praise and worship and a time to find the spirit within us. The pastor preached a message, speaking to how do you really know if you are saved. If you in a relationship with Christ, do others see the spirit within you? We visited a village that we plan to serve later in the week. We attracted a crowd quickly. The people moved to the site beginning two months ago, walking three miles to live in tin shacks, they have to build. These people plan to work in the strawberry fields nearby. This village has electricity but is without running water. Listening to a conversation Langdon had with one of the ladies, the comment was made by her, "no aqua and no medicinal." As we share the love of the lord, the feeling at the site was of complete acceptance and peace. These individuals who had so little were to share gave the gift of food to us. This simple gift gives insight to how they live, the food was a handful of cooked bugs.
"Lord, thank you, for this, the opportunity and the gift of serving you. To present the message of grace and love that you have so freely given to us."
Please excuse errors, written late. It's now 6:13am in Guatemala, light drizzle but we are expecting some clearing. Today is a clinic in a village an hour away. The prayer is to be able to assist the community with their water problem also.
