Blessings from Guatemala!

Wow! We are in Guatemala! This is the beginning of an amazing new adventure with Jesus.

We've been hearing a lot about Jesus since we arrived. Being in a totally different environment is a really good place to be reminded that He is our everything.

Back home, He is our everything too. But we sometimes get focused on all the conveniences and our "abilities" to get through the day. We forget that Jesus is the only one who sustains us, that we draw every breath from Him.

Here it is easier to remember that. Hopefully we will allow Him in every moment to write that understanding on our hearts. So we will remember He is everything. So we will be completely filled with His presence and love, for the sake of everyone we meet.

Some folks we will meet do not know Jesus yet. Other folks know Him, but need encouragement through the challenges of life. Just as we all do.

In that way, it's really not that different here than what we experience every day with Jesus. We need Him every day. We need to be reminded every day of who He is, and how He sustains us. We need encouragement through the challenges we face. And every day, Jesus puts people in our path who don't know Him, who need to see His love through us.

Where do you see Jesus today? What is He doing where you are? What is He saying to encourage you today? Who can He encourage through you?

We are all here, our team of 14 plus our 3 hosts, a little sleepy (we arrived late last night), but ready for whatever Jesus has in store for us today. We get to visit the local church today and have a Bible class with the children and love on the people. What a great day this will be.

Let Jesus make your day great too!

Blessings from Guatemala,

"To the praise of His glorious grace, with which He has blessed us in the Beloved. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace, which He lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of His will, according to His purpose, which He set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in Him, things in heaven and things on earth." Ephesians 1:6-10
